Group - University City VSP District  (including UPenn & Drexel University)

Completed 1 st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Grades

Our youngest students hang out in the inner-city, in rooms that are of the nearby college campus district. The district will represent the icon for the student to view a leader as the instructor and demonstrator of a particular activity step. Each district has its theme. The theme may be dance, music, art, sports, and more. Activities will be completed in the time frame of 2-3 four (4) hour phases. The overnight trip is typically a first exposure experience and focuses on introducing these students to basic tripping skills and making them aware of what we do while out on a trip, while also having fun!

That being said, University City District VSP students have closer access to their rooms and are working on their interpersonal skills by learning how to live with others. They also are learning how to take personal accountability for themselves and their actions (i.e., making their bed, cleaning up after themselves, and other hygiene habits). For many University City VSP students, this is their first time away from home for this length of time and are therefore also learning independence.
